Important information related to the international context

Dear Members,
Following recent dramatic events in Ukraine and their worldwide repercussions, the ITSF cannot remain indifferent.
 
We are well aware that our foosball community, including the nationals from the countries directly involved in the conflict, are deeply saddened by the situation, as peace and tolerance are part of our shared values.
 
After deliberation, the Executive Committee has agreed to a range of measures as detailed below. These will apply until further notice.

ITSF tournaments will be not be held in Russia or Belarus. National teams from Russia and Belarus are no longer permitted to compete at ITSF tournaments, including the ITSF World Cup. Players from Russia and Belarus can participate individually in ITSF tournaments, including the ITSF World Championships. However, the names, national flags and national anthems of Russia and Belarus may not feature, including on athletes’ outfits. The emblems of the respective National Olympic Committee may be used instead.

 
We are looking forward to the situation developing positively such that the restrictions announced today will be no longer relevant.
 
The ITSF would like to express its sincere thoughts to the Ukraine foosball community and those suffering from current circumstances. We hope that peace will prevail soon.
